Hit by a Bus

Greetings and salutations! I touched on it briefly yesterday, but I wanted to delve into it a bit more today. Redundancy. A common project risk is a lack of redundancy. Have you ever worked on a project where one person's skills were the linchpin of success? It sounds grim, but did anyone ask, "What happens if they get hit by a bus?" Mitigating risks associated with a lack of redundancy on a project is essential. Part of a project manager's job is to ask, "What if?" and build strategies with the team to answer the question effectively. It's not pessimism, it's about asking what happens if a key contributor is unexpectedly unable to contribute, and coming up with a plan to address it. My name is Andrew Butters, and I'm #OpenToWork. Let's have a conversation.

💼 I’m a great fit for Project/Program Management, Team Lead, Manager, or Director roles.

🌎 I am looking for remote work and have extensive experience working as a virtual employee. I am also eager to work on-site in the Greater Moncton Metropolitan Area (NB) or Amherst (NS).

🖋 I'm a highly creative writer and am a wordslinger for hire. Alternatively, making one of my books a bestseller would help out a lot too.
