He was a terrible leader. When I left my position as a direct supervisor I was inundated with messages of Goodwill and thanks people who reported to me. When I left my last job as a project manager, I was inundated with messages from people telling me how much they appreciated my project management and Leadership style. And most importantly, when I took up supply teaching to keep busy after my last job, I had an 8 year old girl on her way out to recess came up to me and say, "Mr. Butters, can I give you a hug for being such a great teacher?"
